How to Setup TKD Scoring Wi-Fi


TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client for iPhone/iPad/iPod - initial setup


Before You start:
- The iPhone/iPod/iPad has to be in the same wireless network with your Server.
- The Wi-Fi Scoring Server can be installed in any PC or Android Tablet
- Be sure you have connectivity from server to your mobile .

Step by Step Setup:

  • Step 1 – Download and start the TKD Wi-Fi Scoring Server (on PC or Android Tablet)
  • Step 2 – Open (click/touch) the server “Referees Setup” Panel
  • Step 3 – Find the Server IP Address at the top of the “Referees Setup” Panel.
    Do NOT close this panel.
  • Step 4 – Return to your mobile and Start TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client
  • Step 5 – Enter your user name (Referee Name) when the client asks for it
  • Step 6 – Enter the Server IP address from the step 3 when the client asked for it
  • Step 7 – Go back to the server and click EXIT to return to the main scoring screen
  • Step 8 – Press the server spacebar to start/stop a game
  • Step 9 – Enjoy it.

Important Notes:
If the server connection fails, you have a Server, a Client or Wi-Fi Access Point connectivity problem.

  • a. If other users can connect, restart your mobile and try again. Be sure your mobile is connected to the same WIFI Access Point and there is no firewall that the communication between your mobile and the server.
  • b. If the other users cannot connect too, than restart your server and try again.
  • c. If your Access point supports dual mode (2.5G and 5G), deactivate one mode and connect all devices to the same Access Point using the same protocol.
  • If the problem is not resolved, please request a network technician help to check and debug your network connection, your wireless configurations, your WIFI Access Point.

Changing the Server IP Address for TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client for iPhone


Before You start:
- You already have a TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client for iPhone/iPod/iPad instaled and configured. .

Step by step:

  • Step 1. On your mobile, Go to Settings -> TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client
  • Step 2. Update the Server IP Address
  • Step 3. Return to TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client
  • Step 4. Enjoy it.

Important Notes:
If the server IP address is correct and the server connection fails you have a Server, a Client or Wi-Fi Access Point connectivity problem

  • a. If other users can connect, restart your mobile and try again. Be sure your mobile is connected to the same WIFI Access Point and there is no firewall that the communication between your mobile and the server.
  • b. If the other users cannot connect too, than restart your server and try again.
  • c. If your Access point supports dual mode (2.5G and 5G), deactivate one mode and connect all devices to the same Access Point using the same protocol.
  • If the problem is not resolved, please request a network technician help to check and debug your network connection, your wireless configurations, your WIFI Access Point.

Changing the User (Referee Name) for TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client for iPhone


Before You start:
- You already have a TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client for iPhone/iPod/iPad instaled and configured. .

Step by step:

  • Step 1. On your mobile, Go to Settings -> TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client
  • Step 2. Update the Referee Name
  • Step 3. Return to TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client
  • Step 4. Enjoy it.

Important Notes:
The new Referee Name will not be synchronized with the server.
To replace the referee name in the server, you have to delete the current referee and reregister your mobile referee.

Full reset and reconfiguration for TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client (iPhone)


Before You start:
To be used if you have trouble connecting to your server.
This solution does not work for Android Clients.

Step by step:

  • Step 1. On your mobile, Go to Settings -> TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client
  • Step 2. Switch to ON the option Reset All Settings
  • Step 3. Go back to you application
  • Step 4. Follow the instructions “Initial Setup”

TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client for Android - initial setup - using server auto-discovery


Before You start:

  • The Android Mobile Referee has to be in the same Wi-Fi network with your Server
  • The Wi-Fi Scoring Server can be installed in any PC or any Android Tablet
  • Be sure you have connectivity from server to your mobile.

Step by Step Setup:

  • Step 1 – Download and start the TKD Wi-Fi Scoring Server (on PC or Android Tablet)
  • Step 2 – Open (click/touch) the server “Referees Setup” Panel
  • Step 3 – Do NOT close this panel.
  • Step 4 – Return to your Android mobile and Start TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client
  • Step 5 – Enter your user name (Referee Name) when the client asks for it
  • Step 6 – Wait for 30 sec or less for the client to scan the network and find any TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Server
  • Step 7: a. If your client is unable to find your server in less than 60 sec, your device may not support multicast and you have to skip this section, and try the "Manually server configuration."
    b. If the server is discovered, than tap the server name.
  • Step 8 – Tap Connect
  • Step 9 – Return to your server
  • Step 10 – Press the server spacebar to start/stop a game
  • Step 11 – Enjoy it.

Important Notes:
- Please note Automatic Server discovery is not available for iPHone/iPad/iPod.
- If the server is not discovered in less than 60 sec your devices may not support multicast and you have skip this section, and try the "Manually server configuration."

TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client for Android - initial setup - using server manually setup


Before You start:

  • The Android Mobile Referee has to be in the same Wi-Fi network with your Server
  • The Wi-Fi Scoring Server can be installed in any PC or any Android Tablet
  • Be sure you have connectivity from server to your mobile.
  • This procedure should be used if the server auto-discovery solution fails.

Step by Step Setup:

  • Step 1 – Download and start the TKD Wi-Fi Scoring Server (on PC or Android Tablet)
  • Step 2 – Open (click/touch) the server “Referees Setup” Panel
  • Step 3 – Find the Server IP Address at the top of the “Referees Setup” Panel.
    Do NOT close this panel.
  • Step 4 – Return to your Android mobile and Start TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client
  • Step 5 – Enter your user name (Referee Name) when the client asks for it
  • Step 6 – Ignore the "Scanning" operation and click "Add Server" button.
  • Step 7 – Enter the Server IP address from the step 3 and click "Save"
  • Step 8 – Return to your server
  • Step 9 – Press the server spacebar to start/stop a game
  • Step 10 – Enjoy it.

Important Notes:
If manually server setup fails you can have a Server, a Client or Wi-Fi Access Point connectivity problem

  • a. If other users can connect, restart your mobile and try again. Be sure your mobile is connected to the same WIFI Access Point and there is no firewall that the communication between your mobile and the server.
  • b. If the other users cannot connect too, than restart your server and try again.
  • c. If your Access point supports dual mode (2.5G and 5G), deactivate one mode and connect all devices to the same Access Point using the same protocol.
  • If the problem is not resolved, please request a network technician help to check and debug your network connection, your wireless configurations, your WIFI Access Point.

Android Junior Referee Client.


Before You start:
This is a simplified controller layout providing just two buttons for body kicks. It made the scoring simple if no head kicks are allowed. Please note this option is available just for Android clients.

Step by step:

  • Step 1. Start TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client for Android
  • Step 2. Open Settings window
  • Step 3. Find Score Buttons Functions section
  • Step 4. Tap the "Four Buttons (4B)" option
  • Step 5. Choose Two Buttons (2B) option.
  • Step 6. Tap "Back" to Return to main windows
  • Step 7. Enjoy the new layout with two buttons.

Important Notes:
To return to full version repeat the same steps and choose the Four Buttons (4B).
